Right Approach

Right Approach was founded to safeguard children and young people in organisations. We provide child safety training and consultancy services to build the capacity of executives, staff and volunteers to comply with the Child Safe Standards.

Right Approach has been working with experts, both in Australia and around the world, to help organisations build environments and cultures that are safe for children and young people.

Right Approach aims to clarify, and bridge the gap between, the child safe requirements placed on schools, early learning centres, religious institutions, and other organisations, and practical ways to implement them.  We focus on the implementation of the new Child Safe Standards.

Our training and consulting services can transform your centre or organisation into one which keeps children and young people safe.

We recognise and appreciate the invaluable contribution made by staff, including young people (18-24 years), to our programs.  Our organisation is committed to child safety and wellbeing.

Bronwyn Oataway

Bronwyn Oataway

I have been working in the early years sector since 1991.  I have worked in a range of settings after graduating with a Diploma of Education at St George Institute of Education in 1986.  I started at Infants Primary in the public school system, then I worked at Youth Works for 3 years, before upgrading and working in early childhood.

During my time working in schools and early learning settings I developed a greater understanding of positive behaviour support and how to connect with children with additional needs.

I also volunteered for Hope Global – educating teachers in Rwanda on early childhood and infants primary teaching.  This experience enriched my teaching experience and worldview in many ways.

I am passionate about supporting educators to keep children and young people safe through implementation of the Child Safe Standards.
